Herbal Testosterone: Nettle Root Extract

When testosterone effect on the organism is mentioned, as a rule so-called “free testosterone” is meant. There exist a special hormone that controls the levels of free testosterone; its name is sex hormone-binding globulin (SHBG). SHBG is very active in the organism of men after forty years of age, and when testosterone binds to SHBG it loses it status of free testosterone and becomes a bound “testosterone”. Binding capacity of sex hormone-binding globulin increases significantly in the organisms of men after 40-45 years of age and that leads to the rapid fall in the quantity of free testosterone, thus total testosterone deficiency. Nettle root extract renders a visible free testosterone- increasing effect. Laboratory studies has shown that after penetration in the bloodstream, the elements of nettle root binds with SHBG instead of testosterone, thus, the amount of unbind, free testosterone is growing.
